= File Menu =

The file menu contains commands for creating, opening, and saving files.

**Databases** [F12]
Opens the [[Help-SQL-Databases|Databases]] dialog to create or use a database connection.

**Connect** [Ctrl+F12]
Opens the [[Help-SQL-Connect|Connect]] dialog to directly connect to a database.

**Disconnect**
Disconnects from the current database.

**Open** [Ctrl+O]
Opens a SQL file.

**Save** [Ctrl+S]
Saves the current SQL to a file.

**Save As** [Ctrl+Shift+S]
Saves the current SQL to a given location.

**Close**
Closes the current file.

**Recent Files**
Provides a list of recently files to open.

**Exit**
Exits the application.
